Our family business was first established in 1984 in Burbank, California, by Joyce LeMadeleine, our aunt, who first opened Candy Plus, a cake and candy supply company that specialized in selling cake pans, chocolate, candy molds, bags, sticks, and many other cake and candy supplies for the homeowner who desired to make their own beautiful cakes and homemade candies.   The business first opened in Burbank, then moved to Lancaster, California, and finally became a website. More and more products were added to the website as customers from around the world sought out everything chocolate on the Internet. 

In 2002, Joyce’s two nieces, Kathryn and Kim, purchased Candy Plus.  Kathryn has a background in art design and has worked for many years for major entertainment studios in the Burbank area.  Kim attended Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena and graduated with top honors to become a pastry chef.  In 2004, they began to implement new ideas and added gourmet caramel apples to their product line.  In 2005, they began renting chocolate fountains under the name “Decadent Chocolate Fountain Company.” 

Now housed under one roof, and again in Burbank, Candy Plus and Decadent Chocolate Fountains serve a clientele that stretches across the country, as well as other countries such as Australia and Europe.  They have many products for the professional chef as well as the candy maker at home, and continue to pursue new ideas and new techniques for everything chocolate!
